Fitness Bootcamp Assessments

Assessments will be held at Bear Creek Regional Park and Fox Run Regional Park. Assessments will be held under the Pavilion. If severe inclement weather occurs, we will send out emails to reschedule.

If you cannot make your assessment on the scheduled days, we will see you at your first class and you will receive your T-Shirt and water bottle then. We will attempt to reschedule your assessment at this time. Click here for locations, dates & times.

What you can expect at your assessment:

You will meet your Bootcamp trainers; receive your complimentary T-shirt and water bottle; discuss any questions or concerns about the Bootcamp and receive an optional body composition /weight assessment.

This will be done using a Full Body Sensor Body Composition Monitor and Scale that focuses on the Bioelectrical Impedance Method as well as height, weight, age and gender. The results will give you:

  • Weight
  • BMI
  • Body Fat %
  • Skeletal Muscle %
  • Resting Metabolism
  • Body Age
  • Visceral Fat Level

We will also measure girth around waist, hips, arm and thigh.

There will be additional assessments done at the half way point of your Bootcamp class as well as one at the end. Every client's assessment is confidential and will only be accessible on the Your Class (members only) page by logging in with a username and password. From there you can view and print your progress.

If you were to join us for future Bootcamps you will be able to view past assessments to monitor your progress from day 1.

Don't forget to bring any forms that have not been signed and returned to us already.

Thank You!

Bioelectrical Impedance Method

The Full Body Sensor Body Composition Monitor and Scale estimates the body fat percentage by the Bioelectrical Impedance Method. Muscles, blood, bones and body tissue with high water content conduct electricity easily. On the other hand, body fat does not store much water, therefore has little electric conductivity. The Full Body Sensor Body Composition Monitor and Scale sends an extremely weak electrical current of 50 kHz and less than 500 µ A through your body to determine the amount of water in each tissue. You will not notice or feel the electrical current.

The ratios of the water in your upper and lower body change throughout the day – as gravity pulls more water into your lower extremities. This means the electrical impedance of the body also varies – if more water is in your legs, other monitors such as foot–to–foot may show incorrect body fat readings. The Full Body Sensor Body Composition Monitor and Scale takes measurements from both hands and feet– which reduces the influence water movement makes on your body composition results.
